Member Meeting & Monthly Educational Program

All are welcome - members of the public as well as Venice Audubon Members.

Participants are strongly encouraged to follow current COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

  • 6:00pm:  (optional) Social time and refreshments
  • 6:30pm: Monthly Membership Meeting 
  • Monthly Educational Program follows (usually 6:45)

Introduction to Florida Birds:  Are you new to birding in Florida? Interested in participating in the annual Christmas Bird Count? Join us for an introduction to Florida's finest avian inhabitants. With Kate Borduas (VAAS member/volunteer, Florida Master Naturalist, National Certified Interpretive Guide) and Bob Clark (VAAS Board Member and Chair of Conservation Committee). 

The local annual Christmas Bird Count takes place in a 15-mile diameter circular area in Venice, Englewood, Nokomis, and some of North Port. Click here for history and information about the Christmas Bird Count.
