Read the book and join the in-person Book Club discussion on the 2nd Monday of the month.  

The August selection is Amy Tan's The Backyard Bird Chronicles.  The book can be purchased online and in bookstores.

In The Backyard Bird Chronicles, Amy Tan brings readers into her observations, discoveries and musings about the birds she began to notice in her backyard.  As the birds showed their individual characteristics amid her daily journaling, they often seemed much like the characters of novels for which Ms. Tan is well known.  This book was inspired by the nature journals the author filled and includes stories, dramas, and drawings that illuminate the personalities of the birds and the thoughtful insights of the author.

Registration not necessary but appreciated.
