In Illumination in the Flatwoods, A Season Living Among the Wild Turkey, artist and author Joe Hutton chronicles a project he took on to raise wild turkeys from eggs, examining along the way his growing awareness of their natural history with a new and growing appreciation.  His daily experiences reveal wild turkeys' instinct and learned behaviors as his relationship with the birds grows throughout their brief time together.
