From September through May,
you can attend free environmental
programs at the Venice Audubon Center,
and visit the Butterfly Garden,
irrigated by rain cisterns.

During the nesting season, from November
to May, the Rookery provides photographers
and other visitors spectacular views of many
bird species nesting in their natural habitat.
The Rookery is part of the Great Florida
Birding Trail, in the South Florida edition.

Venice Area Audubon Society has a lineup
of several dozen trips each season to
local, national and international
birding destinations. All trips are open
to members and non-members alike.
